Spanakopita $8

Flaky phyllo triangles stuffed with a spinach & feta cheese mixture. Served with Tzatziki Sauce.

Greek Salad $6

Romaine lettuce topped with tomato, red onion, cucumber, black olives, feta cheese and vinaigrette dressing.

Baklava $5

Layers of phyllo dough and spiced nut mixture topped with a honey sauce.

Coming up in September, we have our Summer Music Series in the parking lot on Sept 11th, featuring the Green Army Men, http://www.greenarmymusic.com/. This should be a GREAT night! Sept 17th is Clay Street After Work, and again, our place is a perfect place to enjoy the live entertainment and to continue the socializing afterwards. And finally, Sept 25, we will be throwing a Chili Cookoff!!! So be prepared, and more details will be forthcoming.

Hello All!

Don’t forget that we’ll have live music on the patio on Thursday! We are really impressed with the local talent that we’ve seen thus far!

This Friday night is a BIG night for downtown Mebane. The Firebird Fest of the Carolinas will be celebrating their kickoff at The Curious Peddler from 6:00 – 9:00. We are providing the food and beverages for their event. This is a great event that raises funds and awareness for MS. Please check it out!

It’s also Clay Street After Work this week! Crossover Drive will be playing on the stage outside on Clay Street from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. Our patio is a GREAT place to enjoy this musical event!

Hello All!

We’re ready for another fun week at Dick & Jane’s!  Tonight is Trivia Night!  Come play (alone or with up to 6 people on a team) or just come listen, it’s a lot of fun!  You can find more details at http://www.worldtaverntrivia.com.  We open at 5:00 p.m. and the game starts at 7:00p.m.  Join us!

Friday night come check out Clay Street After Work!  Once a month during the Summer months, Clay Street shuts down and a band plays on a street stage.  You can bring a lawn chair (or sit on our patio) and enjoy live music and all that downtown Mebane has to offer!  Band begins at 7:00 p.m.

This weeks specials include a new dish from Sandie!  Crab Tarts (tender crust, filled with a mixture of crab, cheese and scallions).  In addition, for dessert, treat yourself to either Espresso Brownie or Mandarin Orange Pie (or if you’ve been real good, treat yourself to BOTH!!– I think you’ve been real good)!!

Also – coming up –  we WILL BE OPEN Memorial Day weekend on our regular operating schedule!  And then, make sure your calendars are marked for Mama’s Black Sheep (http://www.mamasblacksheep.com) on Thursday evening June 3rd from 7:30 – 10:30 and our second Summer Music Parking Lot Series with Distilled Sound (check them out of Facebook) on Saturday evening, June 5th.  Help us spread the word for BOTH of these great events!

We’re excited about another great week at Dick & Jane’s! Tonight (5/12) is Trivia Night, and as usual, we’re excited to see who comes out on top! Don’t forget that it’s NOT to late to play! You can play by yourself or with a team of up to 6! You can play one week or every week! Just check it out when you can! We’ve had great feedback from our customers and it’s a lot of fun! (P.S. You don’t have to be smart to play ). more information, check out the website at http://www.worldtaverntrivia.com. We also released NEW Summer Menus last week so come in and see what’s new!

Also, this Friday evening, the Mebane Acting Company (http://www.mebaneactingcompany.com/) will be entertaining us with a little improv and giving us a sample of what they have in store for our community! Check it out!

Specials this week are: Polynesian Chicken Lettuce Wraps (Sesame Ginger glazed chicken sauteed with pineapple salsa. Served with lettuce leaves for wrapping) and Crab Cakes. Our HOMEMADE treats from Sandie include Gooey Butter Cake and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Pie (and YES, it’s all fat free and calorie free)!!

Some other things to mark on your calendar NOW: Thursday, June 3rd we are thrilled to be welcoming back Mama’s Black Sheep to the bar (http://www.mamasblacksheep.com). They released a new CD on April 1st and have just finished their CD tour. IAs always, it’ll be a great show! They will have CD’s and merchandise available for purchase (and if you’re real nice, and sing along, they’ll sign your CD!) If you’ve seen them before, we know you’ll be there, and if you haven’t, DON’T MISS IT AGAIN!!

Saturday, June 5th will be the second event in our Summer Music Series Parking Lot Event! We are proud to introduce and welcome Distilled Sound! We’ll be blocking off the parking lot so come early, bring a chair and ENJOY! You’ll be impressed with their renditions from artists such as The Eagles, Bob Dylan, Melissa Etheridge, Carrie Underwood, Sugarland and more! We want to give Distilled Sound a warm reception and a HUGE kickoff so help us spread the word and bring some friends! They have recently established a Facebook Fan page, so check them out there too!

First, let me take a minute to thank EVERYONE that was involved, in any way, in making the Second Annual Kristy Mae Edwards Memorial Softball Tournament a HUGE success last weekend.  We are so proud to have been a part of it!!  The Edwards are very special to our staff and it was a special weekend!

It’s going to be a big week this week at Dick & Jane’s!  Tonight is Trivia Night!  The competition remains fierce!  We want to thank the Badass Brunettes who graciously donated two weeks of their winnings to the Kristy Edwards memorial Fund last week.  And we’re looking forward to seeing what happens tonight!  It’s NOT too late to play, so feel free to jump in at any time!

This weekend is the Mebane Dogwood Festival!  We are so excited to be a part of it!  We will be open regular hours on Friday, and opening at 11:00 am on Saturday for lunch and will remain open thru Saturday night.  We’ll also have booth set up outside with apparel available for purchase and a Dick & Jane’s apparel giveaway!  We’ll have new brochures to give out that include our menu and events.

Specials this week are:

Chicken Sata, Crab Stuffed Mushrooms, Cheeseburgers and Grown Up Grilled Chesse.

Desserts are:

Cheesecake Peanut Butter Fudge Marble Cake and Orange Pound Cake.

Next weekend is our first parking lot party for the summer featuring the Crossover Blues Band. (http://www.crossoverbluesband.com/)  If you haven’t seen them before, they’ll be playing at the Dogwood Festival this weekend so that’ll be a great preview for the show next weekend.  They will be playing from 8:00-11:00pm in the parking lot, Saturday, May 1!  Bring your pop up chairs!  We will be able to serve food and drink out there as well.  Cover for the band will be $5.00.  Spread the word!
